DENTAL ASSISTING COURSE
Dental Assisting Course (DAC) prepares students for entry level, X-ray certified positions as a chair-side assistants in a dental office. The dental assistant training program is designed to teach the students the skills and knowledge necessary to assist dentists and hygienists in all chair-side procedures, and prepares students for Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) exam.
No dental assisting experience is necessary.Â

COURSE DETAILS
DAC is a 13 week hybrid program that allows our students to become familiar with dental procedures, terminology, techniques, and instruments needed to become knowledgeable, skilled and efficient chair-side dental assistants.
Our lectures happen weekly and online, from the comfort of your home. All our hands-on training happens in person, once a week on Wednesdays, in a real dental practice located in Burtonsville, MD. We do understand that most of our students have day jobs and day time classes are nearly impossible.Â
Schedule
- 13 Weeks
- Online (self-paced) lectures, tests, quizzesÂ
- In person class Wednesday 6pm-9pm - hand-on training
- Internship hours - 50 hours during 13 weeks
Certification
Upon completion of DAC our students will receive their CPR and Infection Control (Bloodborne Pathogens) Certifications along with Certificate of Completion from Dental Assistant School Of Maryland Dental Assisting and Dental Radiology Course.

Our graduates are able to:
- Understand and assist wide range of dental procedures
- Recognize dental anatomy and tooth charting
- Able to perform four-handed dentistry by actively passing instruments and materials to dentists and hygienists
- Take, develop and read dental x-rays
- Prepare materials and set-up for dental procedures
- Sterilize and sanitize instruments and equipment
- Take impressions and pour models
- Understand patients record keeping and medical history
- Know how to be HIPAAÂ compliant and much much more...
 Enrollment RequirementsÂ
Â
Applicants must:
- Â Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be able to legally work in USA
- Provide with 2 forms of ID
- Understand, read and write in English
- Meet school official in-person or online via video interview
- Be prepared for the tuition (payment options available)

Graduation Requirements
Students may graduate and be awarded a Dental Assisting Certificate of Completion with the following conditions:
- Successful completion of the Dental Assisting Program
- Minimum 85% attendance rate (The student can not miss more than 3 classes)
- An overall grade point average of 70% or greater
- Achieve a passing grade on all lab work
- 50 hours of internship requirements are completed with a âPassâ grade
- Successful completion of all exams and tests (70% or grater)
- All financial obligations are satisfied

 The Dental Assisting Course is designed to teach the students the skills and knowledge necessary to assist dentists and hygienists in all chair-side procedures.
We also help our dental assistants in their job placement!
Our students will be required to build a resume and receive coaching on both the resume and the interviewing process.
We connect our graduates with local temporary agencies and doctor that are in search of great dental assistants.
